Ropes Course |
|
To book a two-hour ropes
course event, simply call Hangar 18 with the date and time that you want
to reserve, and then leave a fifty dollar deposit to finalize the
reservation. A ropes course party costs a mere $15 per person, with a
minimum of 25 people in a party |
In addition to offering climbing for our
party packages, Hangar 18 now offers use of our ropes course as well. Our
combination of traditional and unique ropes course elements present a
myriad of challenges that both kids and adults are guaranteed to enjoy,
and can accommodate groups of up to seventy people at a time. Simply put,
our ropes course is fun, challenging, and safe, which is a combination
that makes every party a blast for climbers of all ages.

Station one: Moon Dunk |
|
| |
|
| In this Hangar 18 original
creation, we take dunk hoops to a whole new level. After climbing up
to a small platform fifteen feet off of the ground, climbers are given
a ball and then jump and swing thirty feet through the air to try and
score on a basketball hoop twenty feet off of the ground on the other
side of the gym. You can go as big as you want to try and make it –
just don’t look down!

Highwire |
| |
|
|

|
Climb twenty feet up the
wall and see how it feels to be a bird on a wire. With only one inch
of webbing between your feet and the ground and a thin static line
overhead to grab for balance, Highwire is definitely intense. Inch
your way across a thirty-foot gap and try to hit the bell on the far
wall.

Sway Ladder |
|
| |
|
| This is a loosely anchored
rope ladder that hangs helicopter-style from the ceiling, thirty feet
off of the deck. Hang on as the ladder twists and swings and try and
make it all the way to the bell at the top.

Swinging Pillars |
| |
|
|

|
This element consists of
three suspended pillars hanging in a ten-foot archway. All you have to
do is simply climb from the wall onto the first pillar, and then
navigate your way through the spinning, swinging columns to the bell
at the other side, and then make it all the way back without touching
the floor.

Web Maze |
|
| |
|
| In this challenge, the
group is tied together with three foot lengths of rope, one after
another, and then has to crawl, roll, and climb through the different
holes in an intricate rope web in a specific order, one after another,
while the front of the snake has to find the next hole to come back
through at the same time. It gets pretty tangled up, but this element
ends up being both hilarious and fun. |

Giant’s Ladder |
| |
|
|

|
This element consists of a
gigantic swinging ladder of wood beams, with another smaller pipe
ladder set loosely inside of it. Climb, crawl, and scramble up any way
you can, and try to make it all the way to the top.
